Robert Bell is an entrepreneur with a passion for helping people produce incredible outcomes and impact. He believes a key to that is developing entrepreneurial mindsets, which has the power to transform people to make the world work better for everyone.

Robert is currently the Executive Director of Sustainable Startups, an entrepreneur and business incubator located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sustainable Startups is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing education and building collaborative communities for early-stage entrepreneurs committed to making a difference. He is currently helping several startup companies as virtual strategist.

Robert’s career began after receiving BS in Mechanical Engineering in Unconventional Oil & Gas exploration and production. After a decade he transitioned to clean energy and designed an implemented large utility demand side management (DSM) / Energy Efficiency programs. From there he moved toward his new found love of entrepreneurship after earning an MBA, and worked in academia as one of the University of Utah's youngest Principle Investigators and Executive Director of the Energy Commercialization Center (ECC); one of five regional ecosystem clusters in partnership with the Department of Energy. Most recently Robert has worked with entrepreneurs and start-ups as the Metro Director for the Clean Tech Open and as a director of the University's Foundry program.

Over the past three years, Robert lead Sustainable Startups and worked with more than 100 entrepreneurs. Those individuals have gone on to create businesses that fight pollution, tackle homelessness and create a recycling program for orthopedic medical devices to help start solving the global health crisis. 

Robert specializes in growing high-performing teams and transforming company cultures, most recently creating and managing cultural transformation for a $5 billion annual revenue generating company headquartered in Utah.
