Liz leads OFN’s advocacy efforts focusing on developing, supporting, and influencing the implementation of polices that benefit Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). She works to build and enhance strategic relationships with administration officials, members of Congress and their staff, and external partners. She currently serves on the board of the Hispanic Lobbyists Association, and serves as OFN's representative to the Native CDFI Network and the CDFI Coalition.
Prior to joining OFN in 2014, Liz worked for Barnes & Thornburg LLP. She was a member of the Federal Relations Group in Washington, D.C. where she advised clients in the formulation of national legislative policy in the areas of appropriations and tax. Liz also served as a political commentator, regularly appearing on CNN, CNN en Español, Univision, and Telemundo. She graduated with an A.B. in Political Science from the University of Chicago and earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School.
