Jeff Gilbreath is Executive Director of Hawaiian Community Assets (HCA), Hawaii’s largest HUD-certified housing counseling agency and financial education provider. He joined the organization in 2008 with experience in youth mentoring, family services, and self-help housing. Mr. Gilbreath has over 16 years of experience in nonprofit program development and management, a background in Federal and State policy promoting sustainable communities, and experience training and mobilizing staff and volunteers for community-based economic development. He was responsible for establishing HCA’s community lending subsidiary and Native CDFI, Hawaii Community Lending, in 2011 which has helped Native Hawaiians in Hawaii access $128 million in capital through mortgage financing and the mainstream financial system. Mr. Gilbreath serves as a representative on the National Coalition of Asian Pacific American Economic Justice Committee and is a Board member of the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement and Hawaii Habitat for Humanity.
