Destiny-Simone Ramjohn, Ph.D. is proud to serve as Director of Stakeholder Relations for Kaiser Permanente, one of America’s leading integrated health care providers and not-for-profit health plans. Dr. Ramjohn advances the mission of Kaiser Permanente by strategically enhancing and evaluating the financial, material, and human resource investments across the Mid-Atlantic region that directly address the social determinants of health and promote health equity. She earned her doctorate in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University in the City of New York.
Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Ramjohn provided contract support as Deputy Program Manager with the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health (PH) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). There, she developed and implemented a rapid evaluation protocol, a valuable tool for time-sensitive assessment and evaluation of an individual program or a portfolio of public health programs at different stages of maturity. Ramjohn was a key member of the leadership team helping to enhance the effectiveness of close to 200 PH and TBI programs that provide care to active duty service members and their families.
Dr. Ramjohn is an avid proponent of applying an equity lens and social science theories to public health practice. She is a collaborative ENFP with a passion for social justice activism. Dr. Ramjohn is based in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan region.
